The Modernist Hotel

The view was spectacular on the top floor room with terrace, such a delight!

This is a hidden gem. The hotel is very clean, rooms are beautiful and I love having a balcony, which is hard to find in New York City. I really liked the staff as well. They were so friendly and helpful. The location is not bad at all, very close to the subway. The neighborhood is in transition so there was alot of construction in the area which really was the only downside to this area.

Hotel was great. We stayed in the one with the balcony/terrace. I think that space is meant for entertaining. It was huge with 5 long couches at least. Got to sit there with a drink and look up the sky. Was waiting to witness a UFO sighting but didn't. We really stayed a long time outside just taking in the beauty of NY lights at night. Watching the planes mostly. The suite was great with 2 robes, ready for us. Front Desk was exceptional. They have an art exhibit when we were there of an artist.

We were so impressed with this hotel!!! Don’t be fooled about the little entrance. We had AMAZING SERVICE! The rooms were clean and aesthetic !! I want to give a huge thank you to Laura for helping us especially the first night. She is great and her customer service is a 10/10! We love her and we will be back because of her too :-) thank you Laura!!

This hotel was great! I was worried that the reviews were all too good to be true, but they were quite accurate. This hotel was very well decorated. The location was great, very close to the subway and we felt very safe walking back from the station at night. Quiet area, but plenty of stores and restaurants that were good very close by. We brought our bikes and the front desk staff was so helpful in storing them for us and making sure we had them whenever we wanted. Staff was all very kind, friendly and helpful.
